Learn More About the RTC Neighborhood Network Plan

Reno, Nevada (December 3, 2024) â€“ The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is continuing to collect public feedback on the Neighborhood Network Plan, a series of improvements to make walking, biking, and rolling safer and more comfortable across twelve neighborhoods in the Truckee Meadows area.

“RTC’s Active Transportation Plan gave us a lot of data about the community’s concerns,” Marquis Williams, Senior Technical Planner for RTC said. “People feel unsafe getting around without a car, they worry about crossing major roadways, and a lot of these areas lack adequate pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.”

RTC invites the community to attend the next two pop-up events to learn more about the plan.

“Every neighborhood has unique needs, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution,” Williams said. “We received fantastic feedback at the first event, and we are looking forward to hearing from the community at the next two pop-ups.”
