Northbound Wedge Parkway Closure Begins Wednesday, November 5
Reno, Nevada (November 4, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will be implementing a closure on northbound Wedge Parkway from Mt. Rose Highway to Whites Creek Lane beginning Wednesday, November 5. This closure is expected to last approximately two weeks. Southbound traffic will be open during this work.
Access will be maintained to neighborhood streets, however during pulverizing and paving operations side street access directly off the northbound side of Wedge Parkway may be inaccessible for a duration of up to one hour. For those occurrences one entrance will be accessible at a time for neighborhoods with multiple access points, and construction will occur in phases for neighborhoods and businesses with single access points. Flagger controls will be in place, and drivers should follow business access signs to reach the Galena Junction Shopping Center.
Vehicles and pedestrians should follow posted detours, and use alternate routes such as Arrowcreek Parkway, Thomas Creek Road, and South Virginia Street.
