Ring in the New Year Safely with Free Rides from RTC

Reno, Nevada (December 30, 2024) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is helping the community to celebrate responsibly and keep our roads safe by once again providing free transit on New Year’s Eve. Scheduled RTC transit services will be free on New Year’s Eve starting at 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

This service will help the community get to their celebration destinations and get home safely during the holiday.

“Riding the bus is a safe alternative to driving or walking home,” said Josh MacEachern, Public Information Officer for the RTC. “Riding the bus for free is even better, and with the Transit App you can easily look up times and schedules from your smartphone.”

Celebrate the new year safely and responsibly by using safe transportation.

Not all locations are served by transit, for the latest schedules and route information visit www.rtcwashoe.com or download the Transit App.
