RTC Provides Free Transit on St. Patrick’s Day
Reno, Nevada (March 14, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is providing free transit service on St. Patrick’s Day to encourage the community to celebrate responsibly. RTC transit services, including ACCESS and FlexRIDE, will be free on Monday, March 17 from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m.
“This is a great way to enjoy the holiday safely,” RTC Public Information Officer Josh MacEachern said. “Plus, it’s quick and easy to plan your trip in advance with the Transit App.”
RTC encourages both drivers and pedestrians to be alert and aware of their surroundings.
“Use crosswalks, and keep your eyes off of your phone,” MacEachern said. “We always encourage pedestrians to wear bright colors at night, so make sure you have your St. Patrick’s Day green on!”
RTC supports the goal of Vision Zero Truckee Meadows to reach zero pedestrian fatalities. For safety tips, please visit VisionZeroTruckeeMeadows.com.
