LAS BRISAS AND LOS ALTOS RESURFACING PROJECT

Las Brisas Boulevard between Brittania Drive and McCarran Boulevard

  • Work will resume June 2024. Slurry seal is anticipated to occur during the week of 06/24, with stripping to follow the week of 07/01.
  • One-way traffic control will be implemented.
  • Traffic will flow in the westbound direction with a detour at Montego Drive.
  • Business access will be maintained.

Los Altos Parkway between North Vista Boulevard and Goodwin Road

  • Work is substantially complete.
  • Contractor will be on site to complete minor work items throughout July.
  • Two-way traffic control anticipated to be maintained.


1ST STREET REHABILITATION AND SIGNAL REPLACEMENT (VIRGINIA TO SIERRA STREET)

ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

Phase 1 – Pyramid Way to Sullivan Lane (Sparks):

  • Intermittent lane shifts for punch item list work and landscape work.

Phase 2 – Sullivan Lane (Sparks) to east of US 395 Ramps (Reno):

  • Intermittent lane shifts for punch item list work and landscape work.

Phase 3 – east of US 395 Ramps to Sutro Street (Reno):

Phase 4 – Sutro Street to I-80 Ramps (Reno):

  • No construction work during Reno Rodeo 2024.
  • Construction activities expected to resume in July.

SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET SAFETY & CAPACITY PROJECT – I-580 EXIT 29 TO LONGLEY LANE (RENO)

  • Two lanes on each direction will remain open along South Virginia Street between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Night work is anticipated with closure and detours. At least one lane will be open on South Virginia Street starting at 6:00 p.m. everyday until 7:00 a.m. the next day.
  • Traffic shift (northbound lane closed) through July 31.
  • Removal of sidewalk and driveways.


SELMI DRIVE REHABILITATION PROJECT (SUTRO STREET TO CLEAR ACRE LANE RENO)

TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS 23-01

Work is substantially complete at the Moana Lane/ Baker Lane, and Prater Way/ 4th Street intersections. Motorists may see occasional shoulder and lane closures for final work items.


SPARKS INTELLIGENT CORRIDORS

Work is substantially completed on Baring Boulevard, Los Altos Parkway, and Vista Boulevard. Additional work to install fiber optic along Galleria Parkway is expected to begin in July.


STEAMBOAT PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY TO VETERANS PARKWAY

Construction is underway and will continue through Fall 2024. Initial paving operations will begin on June 27 through July 3, from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Work will not take place on Saturday or Sunday.

Through traffic is encouraged to use an alternate route, if possible, while the following traffic control restrictions are in place.

July 1 – July 5

  • Eastbound Steamboat Parkway will be reduced to one lane between Damonte Ranch and Veterans Parkway.
  • Northbound Veterans Parkway will be reduced to one lane from south of Wind Ranch Road through the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway.
  • Westbound Steamboat Parkway and Southbound Veterans Parkway will not be impacted.


SOUTH MEADOWS TRAFFIC ENHANCEMENTS

  • Single lane closure on eastbound South Meadows Parkway between Double R Boulevard and Veterans Parkway near I-580.
  • Nightly lane closures, June 26, 27, and 28 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on eastbound Damonte Ranch Parkway between Old Virginia Road and Double R Boulevard.
