ARLINGTON AVENUE BRIDGES PROJECT – 1ST STREET TO ISLAND AVENUE

Arlington Avenue will be closed between West 1st Street and Island Avenue. Northbound traffic will be detoured to the Virginia Street bridge. Southbound traffic and pedestrians will be detoured to the Sierra Street bridge.

  • West Street will be open to westbound traffic only between West Street and Stevenson Street.
  • Wingfield Park will remain closed from May 5, 2025, until summer 2026.
  • River recreation detours will also be in place.

MILL STREET CAPACITY & SAFETY

Continuous single lane closures on Mill Street westbound from Greg Street/Terminal Way to the I-580 southbound ramp intersection. Daytime and nighttime construction will occur with single lane closures on Mill Street between I-580 and Terminal Way.

Bus Stop Closures:

  • The Route 12/14 eastbound bus stop at Mill Street/Matley Lane is closed

Roadway work and sidewalk reconstruction to be performed on Meadowood Mall Circle between S. Virginia Street and Meadowood Mall Circle, Meadowood Mall Way between S. Virginia Street and Meadowood Mall Circle, and Neil Way between Neil Road and Meadowood Mall Circle.

Meadowood Mall Circle

  • One lane each direction will be maintained during the day.
  • Route 1 Bus Stop on Meadowood Mall Circle (at Jiffy Lube) will be temporarily closed.
  • Jiffy Lube driveway access will be maintained at all times.

Neil Way

  • One lane each direction will be maintained during the day.

Meadowood Mall Way

  • One lane each direction will be maintained during the day.


SUN VALLEY BOULEVARD CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS

Field exploration to obtain geotechnical borings for the design phase of the Project will occur on Sun Valley Boulevard from Scottsdale Road to 7th Avenue. Work will start at the north end of the project and progress to the south.

Southbound

  • One lane each direction will be maintained
  • Lane and shoulder closures anticipated
  • Nightwork to occur, approximately 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.

Northbound

  • One lane each direction will be maintained
  • Lane and shoulder closures anticipated
  • Nightwork to occur, approximately 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m.
