SOMERSETT PARKWAY REHABILITATION (2024 CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE)

  • SNC has completed Phase 1 of construction – lowering utilities in preparation of the mill and fill operation to follow.
  • There will be no activity this week.


ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

  • Intermittent lane shifts for punch item list work and landscape work.


SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET SAFETY & CAPACITY PROJECT – I-580 EXIT 29 TO LONGLEY LANE (RENO)

  • Two lanes on each direction will remain open along South Virginia Street between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • At least one lane will be open on South Virginia Street starting at 6:00 p.m. everyday until 7:00 a.m. the next day (night work).
  • Crews are expected to continue working during the night until October 10, paving the northbound land and removing/replacing concrete (curb/gutter/ped/ramps/driveways) and installing conduit, pull boxes, poles, etc. )electrical work) at the intersection of Patriot Boulevard/South Virginia Street.


STEAMBOAT PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY TO VETERANS PARKWAY

Construction is underway and will continue through Fall 2024. Intersection paving operations are scheduled for Tuesday, September 17 and Wednesday, September 18 at night between 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. During paving operations, the following traffic control restrictions will be in place. Through traffic is encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible.

September 23 – September 27

  • Steamboat Parkway will be reduced to a single lane in the eastbound direction between the intersection of Veterans Parkway/Steamboat Parkway and Dark Horse Road/Steamboat Parkway.
  • Steamboat Parkway will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the intersection of Steamboat Parkways/Marketplace Lane and Steamboat Parkway/Damonte Ranch Parkway.
  • Damonte Ranch Parkway will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between the intersection of Steamboat Parkway/Damonte Ranch Parkway and Promenade Way/Damonte Ranch Parkway.
  • Southbound Veterans Parkway will be reduced to a single lane at intersection of Veterans Parkway/Steamboat Parkway to appoximately 1,000 feet south of this intersection.
  • Northbound Veterans Parkway will be reduced to a single lane from the intersection of Veterans Parkway/Steamboat Parkway to approximately 1,000 feet north of this intersection.
  • Anticipate delays and use caution and slow speeds through the work zone.


KIETZKE INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC SYSTEMS (ITS) PROJECT

Construction is underway for Kietzke ITS Project and will continue through mid October. Project limits start at the intersection of Manual Street and E 2nd Street to the intersection of E 2nd Street to Kietzke Lane. From there, the project continues in the southbound shoulder along Kietzke Lane to Mill Street.

September 23 – September 27

  • Shoulder closures and lane reductions in the southbound direction on Kietzke Lane between E. 2nd Street and Mill Street.
  • Shoulder closures and lane reductions in the eastbound direction on 2nd Street between Manuel Street and Kietzke Lane.
  • Lane reductions and traffic shifts through the intersection of Kietzke Lane/2nd Street. This work will occur between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.


RALEIGH HEIGHTS REHABILITATION

  • Single lane closures and local traffic only on Yorkshire Drive and Carlyle Drive.
  • Limited on-street parking.

El Rancho Boulevard & G Street

  • Intermittent lane closures will occur in all directions at this location as crews work on overhead signal systems and reconstruct the right turn lane from eastbound G Street to southbound El Rancho Boulevard.
  • Two-way travel will be maintained in all directions, but delays from reduced lanes should be expected during daytime non-peak hours.

Clear Acre Lane & McCarran Boulevard

  • Shoulder and lane closures during nighttime working hours should be expected as crew’s complete pedestrian improvements on the northeast corner of the intersection.
