RTC Celebrates the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act by Offering Free Rides July 26

Reno, Nevada (July 22, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is offering free transit service on Saturday, July 26 in honor of the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

“At RTC we work daily to make sure our disabled community is served with kindness, empathy and efficiency across all of our transit services, and that their needs are considered in our road projects,” RTC Director of Public Transportation Jim Gee said.

In addition to ADA compliant improvements on road projects, RTC runs the ACCESS service – a paratransit shuttle that provides door-to-door, prescheduled transportation for individuals who meet the eligibility criteria for the Americans with Disabilities Act.
