1ST STREET REHABILITATION AND SIGNAL REPLACEMENT (VIRGINIA TO SIERRA STREET)

Project is nearing completion but there will be some temporary traffic controls in place over the next two weeks to address final cleanup and punch list items.


ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

Construction work is weather dependent.

Phase 1 – Pyramid Way to Sullivan Lane (Sparks):

  • Construction is complete. Minor punch item list work and landscape maintenance taking place (weather permitting).

Phase 2 – Sullivan Lane (Sparks) to east of US 395 Ramps (Reno):

  • Major construction completed.
  • Intermittent one lane closures.
  • Landscape, permanent striping, and punch list items.

Phase 3 – east of US 395 Ramps to Sutro Street (Reno):

Phase 4 – Sutro Street to I-80 Ramps (Reno):

  • Lane closures. One lane in each direction.
  • Roadwork and paving between Sutro Street and 9th Street:
    • Intermittent Sutro/Oddie (half intersection closures). Detours will be posted.
    • One way for each direction along Oddie.
      • Traffic configuration change: South side closure- Thursday April 25 until May 15th (tentative date).

SELMI DRIVE REHABILITATION PROJECT (SUTRO STREET TO CLEAR ACRE LANE RENO)

April 2nd – May 7th

  • One-way eastbound-only traffic will be allowed on Selmi Drive at all times (24/7). Detours are provided for westbound traffic thru McCarran Boulevard.

May 8th – May 31st (tentative dates)

  • One-way westbound-only traffic will be allowed on Selmi Drive at all times (24/7). Detours are provided for eastbound traffic thru McCarran Boulevard.

Accesses remain open for both businesses and residential.


STANFORD WAY REHABILITATION PROJECT (GREG STREET TO GLENDALE AVENUE)

Construction is underway and will continue through the end of May 2024.

Roadway removal and paving operations continue through the week of April 29.

  • East Freeport Way and Snider Way will be intermittently closed to through traffic at Stanford Way while paving is completed.
  • One-way southbound-only traffic will be allowed on Stanford Way and will remain in place for the duration of construction. Detours are provided for northbound traffic.
  • Freeport Way will be intermittently closed to through traffic at Stanford Way while work on the west side of the street continues.
  • On-street parking will not be allowed on Stanford Way for the duration of construction 24/7. While individual driveway closures may occur, access will be maintained to all businesses during construction.

PYRAMID WAY AND NORTH MCCARRAN BOULEVARD FIBER CONNECTIVITY

This project is substantially complete.  Occasional shoulder closures may occur on Pyramid Way between Nugget Avenue and C Street for final work items.


TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS 23-01

Moana Lane and Baker Lane/Smith Drive (Reno)

Occasional shoulder and lane closures may occur on Moana Lane. Major work at the Moana Lane and Baker Lane intersection will resume in May for final traffic signal installation tasks.

Prater Way and 4th Street (Sparks)

The following traffic controls will be in place until the end of April at the intersection of Prater Way and 4th Street for traffic signal replacement:

  • A temporary all-way stop will be in effect at the intersection.
  • Various lane and shoulder closures.
  • All turning movements and driveways will remain open.

Delays are possible and motorists should consider an alternate route until the work is complete.


SPARKS INTELLIGENT CORRIDORS

Construction is underway and will continue through June. Motorists can expect the following traffic controls:

Baring Boulevard between Sparks Boulevard and Vista Boulevard

  • Various lane and shoulder closures for fiber optic installation.
  • Lane closures (if needed) will occur Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. daily.
  • All driveways and turning movements will remain open.

Vista Boulevard between Baring boulevard and Los Altos Parkway (south)

  • Various shoulder closures for fiber optic installation.
  • All driveways and turning movements will remain open.

STEAMBOAT PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY TO VETERANS PARKWAY

Construction is underway and will continue through Fall 2024. Traffic is shifted to the center of Steamboat Parkway between Veterans Parkway and Marketplace Drive.

April 29th – May 3rd

  • Two travel lanes in each direction will be maintained on Steamboat Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures for westbound and eastbound Steamboat Parkway between Marketplace Drive and Veterans Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures/lane reductions at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway.

SOUTH MEADOWS TRAFFIC ENHANCEMENTS

Construction will begin April 29th.

April 29th to May 3rd

  • Single lane closure on westbound Damonte Ranch Parkway between Promenade Way and Double R Boulevard, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Single lane closure on eastbound South Meadows Parkway between Double R Boulevard and Double Diamond Parkway. Night work from Double R Boulevard to Lauren Court. Day work from Lauren Court to Double Diamond Parkway.
