7TH STREET, 6TH STREET, & WEST REHABILITATION PROJECT

7th Street Between Keystone Avenue and Washington Street
- Construction is substantially complete.
- Crews will remobilize on 7th Street near Keystone for work in the median, and 7th Street will have one-way westbound travel from Washington Street to Keystone Avenue tentatively scheduled for July 7th and July 8th.
6th Street between Arlington Avenue and West Street & West Street between 5th Street and 6th Street
- Construction is substantially complete.
- Crews will be performing cleanup activities on July 7th.
BUCK DRIVE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Work Description
This project will be completed in multiple phases. Initial work includes concrete and roadway improvements on the south side of the roadway.
Traffic Impacts
- Traffic control will be in place with modified travel patterns.
- 1-way traffic for eastbound traffic on Buck Drive
- Access is limited to the Grocery Outlet Delivery Driveway.
Additional Information
- Construction activities may impact bus routes and commute times.
- Traffic control will be adjusted as feasible to reduce peak hour impacts.
EAGLE CANYON SAFETY AND OPERATIONS PROJECT

Work Description
Crews are completing roadway electrical work in preparation for new lighting at enhanced crosswalk locations. Starting this week work begins for median concrete at Richard Springs Blvd and at the Eagle Canyon Park entrance. Site preparation and grading is also underway for construction of the shared-use path from Calle De La Plata to Alena Way.
Traffic Impacts
Working hours are between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- On Eagle Canyon Drive expect shoulder closures and/or lane shifts in both directions from Eagle Canyon Park to Calle De La Plata. This closure includes the bicycle lane, so please remember to use caution and share the road with bicycles.
- Travel lanes on Eagle Canyon Drive will be reduced to a single lane in each direction at Richard Springs Blvd.
- Truckee Meadows Water Authority has a concurrent project on Goldeneye Parkway that may cause additional impacts. This may include lane shifts or flagger control on Eagle Canyon Drive. Access to Goldeneye Parkway may be closed from Eagle Canyon Drive. Please use caution in the area.
LA POSADA REHABILITATION PROJECT

Work Description
Roadway rehabilitation work is underway on La Posada Drive and Cordoba Boulevard. Motorists should expect lane reductions, temporary traffic control, and periodic detours during paving operations.
- La Posada Drive between Pyramid Way and Cordoba Boulevard reduced to one lane in each direction during construction activities. Short-duration full closures and detours may be implemented during paving operations.
- Cordoba Boulevard between La Posada Drive and Calle De Oro Parkway may experience lane closures and intersection detours during roadway rehabilitation work.
Please use caution when traveling through the work zone and follow all posted traffic control devices.
MILITARY ROAD CAPACITY AND SAFETY PROJECT

Lane Closures
Construction is substantially complete, but single lane closures may occur on Mill Street from Yori Way to Terminal Way with left turn lanes at all signalized intersections. Closures on Kietzke Lane in the vicinity may also take place.

The new traffic signal at Mill Street and Golden Lane is now operational. Please use caution when driving through this area.

PRATER WAY REHABILITATION PROJECT

On Prater Way from Pyramid Way to Stanford Way, lanes will be reduced to 1 lane in each direction 24/7.
SPARKS BOULEVARD CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – NORTH PHASE

Construction will continue through June 2027. Project limits are from the intersection of Sparks Boulevard/I-80 westbound ramps to the intersection of Sparks Boulevard/Shadow Lane.
The community is encouraged to stay informed about the project by accessing the project website (www.sparksblvdproject.com) or by texting “Sparks” to 866-540-8466.
Construction operations will mostly take place from 5a.m. – 2p.m. in the northbound direction and 9a.m. – 7p.m. in the southbound direction, Monday through Friday. Nighttime work and marathon weekend work are anticipated, with traffic control updates communicated in advance of this work.

Construction will begin on July 13th. Please note, working hours for the project have changed to 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Beginning July 13th, there will be a 24/7 closure of the inside travel lane in both directions as crews begin work on the center median. This closure is anticipated to last approximately 2 weeks. Please plan accordingly and use caution in the area.

Lane Closures
Construction has begun Sunday nights to Friday mornings from 7p.m. to 7a.m. Lanes on S. Virginia Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Moana Lane to Hubbard Way.
Daytime work at the northbound and southbound Bus Stations at Peckham Lane will occur. Two lanes in each direction will remain open on Virginia Street, but lanes may be shifted. Please use caution.
Gentry Way Intersection
Through traffic on Gentry Way at Virginia Street may be detoured from 7p.m. to 7a.m.
WEST FOURTH STREET DOWNTOWN (WEST STREET TO VINE STREET) PROJECT

WEST FOURTH STREET SAFTEY (VINE STREET TO MCCARRAN BOULEVARD) PROJECT

Traffic has been shifted to the southside of Fourth street with two–way traffic in one lane each direction in the four lane areas. The signals at Stoker have been removed and there is now three-way stop sign control at Stoker as well as Summit Ridge. The North side of the roadway will be a work zone throughout the corridor. In the two–lane area west of Summit ridge, traffic will be primarily two-way, with occasions of flagger control when work encroaches on the west bound lane. Work is progressing throughout the corridor. Please slow down so everyone goes home safe!
