The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County and Granite Construction are paving the south side of Oddie Boulevard as part of Phase 2 of the Oddie Wells Project. Nightly half-intersection closures are in place on the south side of Oddie Boulevard at Silverada Boulevard from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. through Friday, September 29. The south side of the El Rancho Drive and Sullivan Lane intersections are closed 24 hours a day through Friday, September 29.
In addition, there are two closures as part of Phase 1 of the Oddie Wells Project. One northbound lane of Pyramid Way is closed at I Street from Tuesday, September 26 through Thursday, September 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Two-way traffic is in place on Pyramid Way.
One southbound lane of Pyramid Way will be closed, as well as Oddie Boulevard between 12th Street and Pyramid Way from Wednesday, September 27 at 9:00 a.m. through Thursday, September 28 at 5:30 a.m. Traffic will detour to Greenbrae Drive via Pyramid Way and Rock Boulevard. These closures are for the permanent pavement patch work on Pyramid Way and slurry seal on I St.
About the Oddie Wells Project:
The Oddie Wells Project will increase safety, connectivity, and mobility options along this heavily traveled corridor. The project plans include new lighting, landscaping, ADA improvements, pedestrian ramps, and bicycle facilities, providing safer traffic operations. Corridor improvements will support economic investment and redevelopment while enhancing the quality of life for area residents by improving accessibility and safety. Construction will be completed in four phases and is anticipated to be complete by fall of 2024, weather permitting.
