PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Sparks Intelligent Corridors project will provide additional information to drivers in the Spanish Springs area regarding travel delays and recommended alternate routes. The project also proposes to automatically adjust traffic signal timings based on delays resulting from incidents or construction. This is a pilot project to determine how connected vehicle data can be used to adjust signal operations in real time. LATEST NEWS
The RTC is testing out technology to disseminate connected vehicle data (travel time, delays, etc.) to motorists via smart phone app. This information can be travel times, road conditions, and incidents, and can also be used to adjust traffic signal operations in real-time.
