Happy holidays indeed! The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County proudly participated in the KTVN 2 News Share Your Christmas food drive supporting Food Bank of Northern Nevada by stuffing a bus with donations from our community.
“We absolutely love to see a bus stuffed with food,” said Jocelyn Lantrip, Director of Marketing for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. “We are excited to get this food out to the families who need it right away.”
Items donated included non-perishable canned meals, kid-friendly snacks and baby products.
“A significant number of our public transit riders are helped by these donations,” said Josh MacEachern, Public Information Officer for the RTC. “An extra item in your shopping cart can really help those in need.”
