RTC Providing FREE Shuttle Service to Reno Earth Day on April 19

Reno, Nevada (April 15, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is once again offering free rides to Reno Earth Day at Idlewild Park on Saturday, April 19.

The service will go back and forth between Idlewild Park and the Washoe County Courthouse parking lot, with shuttles arriving approximately every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

“This is a great way to enjoy the event without having to worry about traffic or parking,” RTC Trip Reduction Specialist Scott Miklos said.

Attendees can celebrate sustainability and community action alongside local non-profits and artisans while enjoying live entertainment on multiple stages.

“We’re very proud of the work we do to promote sustainability in the community,” Miklos said. “Not only is our entire fleet electric or hybrid, but our Vanpool program saved residents more than 20 million miles traveled last year and saves millions of pounds of carbon dioxide emissions annually.”

Avoid traffic and parking when you plan your trip at rtcwashoe.com or by downloading the Transit App.
