Construction Begins on Mill Street Capacity and Safety Project
Reno, Nevada (April 11, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County will begin construction on the Mill Street Capacity and Safety Project Monday, April 14. This long-anticipated project will significantly improve safety and traffic operations on Mill Street from Yori Avenue to Terminal Way.
For the first phase of construction, crews will be working on Mill Street between I-580 and Terminal Way from 6am until 2pm. Monday through Friday. During construction a minimum of one paved lane will be open in each direction and business access will be maintained.
Short traffic delays may occur during some operations, and RTC Route 14 may be temporarily impacted during construction. Get the latest information on routes and detours by downloading the Transit App or at www.rtcwashoe.com.
