PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As part of RTC’s Traffic Engineering Program, Traffic Signal Modification 23-01 will implement spot improvements at 19 intersections and perform engineering evaluations for four intersections.

The project locations and scope are listed below:

Spot Improvement Locations:
1. Clearacre Lane and North McCarran Boulevard – Remove north/ south split traffic signal phasing.
2. Battle Born Way and Galletti Way – Install new signal controller cabinet and vehicle detection
system.
3. El Rancho Drive and G Street – Remove east/west split traffic signal phasing.
4. Los Altos Parkway and Galleria Parkway – Extend westbound to southbound left turn pocket.
5. Robb Drive and Mae Anne Avenue – Install new metered service with battery backup system.
6. Golden Valley Road and North Hills Boulevard – Install new metered service with battery backup
system, traffic signal controller cabinet, and vehicle detection system.
7. Plumb Lane and Plumas Street – Install new metered service with battery backup system and new
traffic signal controller cabinet. Modify existing vehicle detection system.
8. Ryland Street and Locust Street – Install new metered service with battery backup system and new
traffic signal controller cabinet.
9. West Street and W. 4th Street – Install new traffic signal controller cabinet.
10. Sutro Street and Wedekind Road – Install new vehicle detection system.
11. South McCarran Boulevard and Greensboro Drive – Install new vehicle detection system.
12. South McCarran Boulevard and Mayberry Drive – Install new vehicle detection system.
13. West Plumb Lane and Lakeside Drive – Modify existing vehicle detection system.
14. East Plumb Lane and Kirman Avenue – Modify existing vehicle detection system.
15. Arrowcreek Parkway and Wedge Parkway – Install accessible pedestrian push buttons.
16. Mount Rose Highway and Wedge Parkway – Install battery backups system and accessible pedestrian
push buttons.
17. Mount Rose Highway and Thomas Creek Road – Install battery backups system and accessible
pedestrian push buttons.
18. Sun Valley Boulevard and E. 4th Avenue – Modify traffic signal heads.
19. Sun Valley Boulevard and E. 5th Avenue – Install accessible pedestrian push buttons.

20. La Posada and Cordoba Boulevard – Intersection Control Evaluation
21. Nichols Boulevard and Howard Drive – Circulation Study
22. Vista Boulevard and Disc Drive – Evaluate Turn Lanes
23. Pyramid Highway and Calle De La Plata – Evaluate Turn Lanes

LATEST NEWS
The construction contract for the project was awarded to Summit Line Construction, Inc. Construction will begin in summer of 2024.
