PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project is part of RTC’s Traffic Engineering Program and includes analysis and improvements to spot locations regionwide:

  • (Reno) North McCarran Boulevard and 7th Street – Evaluate traffic, bus, and pedestrian circulation and safety improvements near the intersection of McCarran Boulevard and 7th Street.
  • (Reno) South Virginia Street and Center Street – Pedestrian safety improvements at the roundabout.
  • (Reno) Vassar Street and Harvard Way – Modify intersection pavement markings to improve northbound to westbound turning movements for RTC buses.
  • (Sparks) Rock Boulevard and C Street – Replace traffic signal controller cabinet and install new uninterrupted power source (UPS).
  • (Sparks) North McCarran Boulevard and York Way – Replace traffic signal controller cabinet and install new uninterrupted power source (UPS).
  • (Sparks) Rock Boulevard and York Way – Replace traffic signal controller cabinet and install new uninterrupted power source (UPS).
  • (Sparks) Proctor R. Hug High School Circulation Study – Review pedestrian and circulation issues surrounding the high school for short and long term improvements.
  • (Sparks) Outlets at Legends / Lincoln Way Circulation Study – Review traffic circulation and conflicts along Lincoln Way within the Outlets at Legends development.

LATEST NEWS
Sierra Nevada Construction, Inc., has completed work on the Midtown portion of the project. Construction will resume in the Spring on McCarran Boulevard and Seventh Street and Sparks sites.
