Enjoy Free RTC Transit to the Great Reno Balloon Race

Reno, Nevada (September 5, 2024) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is providing free transit service to the Great Reno Balloon Race Friday, September 6 through Sunday, September 8 from 4 a.m. until 10 a.m.

“We’re always excited to involve the community in this fantastic event,” said Jim Gee, RTC Director of Public Transportation and Operations. “Taking the bus helps reduce traffic and avoid the hassle of trying to find parking.”

Passengers can ride the RAPID Virginia Line for free to Rancho San Rafael Park from 4 a.m. until 10 a.m. during the Great Reno Balloon Race.

RTC RIDE bus service on the RAPID Virginia Line will run approximately every 15 minutes with extended service to Rancho San Rafael Park. ACCESS passengers will have free service to and from the event during the same hours.
