SOMERSETT PARKWAY REHABILITATION (2024 CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE)

  • Two lanes on each direction will remain open along South Virginia Street between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (day work).
  • At least one lane will be open on South Virginia Street starting at 6:00 p.m. everyday until 7:00 a.m. the next day (night work).
  • Week of December 2 (weather dependent):
    • Crews are expected to work during the day.
    • Finish raising utilities, miscellaneous asphalt and sidewalk concrete work and landscaping.
  • Traffic Signal at I-580 northbound Exit 29 off-ramp expected to be active by mid-December.

This week crews will be striping and landscaping.

  • Two travel lanes in each direction will be maintained on Steamboat Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures for westbound and eastbound Steamboat Parkway between Damonte Ranch Parkway and Veterans Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures/lane reductions at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway.

Work will resume in Midtown Reno on December 2.

Monday, Thursday, and Friday:

Virginia Street will be closed in the southbound direction from St. Lawrence Avenue to Taylor Street during daytime working hours. A signed vehicular detour route will be provided via Forest Street. Pedestrians should follow all sidewalk detour signage near work zones.

Tuesday:

Wells Avenue will be closed from S. Virginia Street to Casazza Drive. Motorists and pedestrians should follow the signed detours provided.

Wednesday:

Isolated sidewalk and shoulders will be closed at the intersection of Virginia Street and Center Street. Pedestrian detours will be provided.
