Road Work Begins on University Way, Evans Avenue Bridge July 14

Reno, Nevada (July 11, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will be conducting preventative maintenance on University Way and bridge resurfacing operations on the Evans Avenue Bridge starting Monday, July 14.

On University Way patching, loop improvements, and slurry seal improvements will cause detours and some full closures intermittently starting July 14, with maintenance expected to be complete by July 17.

The Evans Avenue Bridge resurfacing will cause a full closure starting Monday, July 14 through Wednesday, July 23 as part of RTC’s 2025 Bridge Maintenance Project, which has already resurfaced Ralston Street Bridge and Valley Road Bridge, and will resurface Kuenzli Bridge later this summer.
