Construction Begins on Legends Roundabouts

Reno, Nevada (July 7, 2025) â€“ The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will start construction on the Legends Roundabouts tonight, July 7.

This project will modify the two roundabouts on East Lincoln Way in Sparks between Sparks Boulevard and Marina Gateway Drive to reduce crashes, improve lane utilization, add capacity and facilitate safer pedestrian crossings.

Modifications include adding a second circulating lane to access Scheels Drive at the roundabout and improving signage and sight lines at both roundabouts. In addition, pedestrian flashing beacons will be added for multi-lane pedestrian crossings to improve safety.

Work on this project will primarily be conducted at night to reduce the impact on the traveling public. Please follow detours as marked and be mindful of the safety of workers in the area.
