RTC Reminds Public to Provide Input on the Northeast Connector Study by March 31
RENO, Nev. (March 30, 2026) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is reminding community members that the public comment period and survey on the Northeast Connector Feasibility and Alignment Study will close on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Residents, commuters and stakeholders are encouraged to review proposed corridor alternatives and share feedback through the online survey before the deadline.
“We’ve seen strong community interest throughout this process,” said RTC Project Manager Bryan Byrne. “From December through March, more than 400 people attended our public meetings, and we’ve received over 600 survey responses and more than 700 public comments online. We encourage anyone who hasn’t participated yet to take a few minutes to share their input before the March 31 deadline.”
The Northeast Connector study explores a potential new corridor alignment that would establish an alternate route between Reno/Sparks and the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), improving connectivity and helping alleviate congestion and reliability issues along I-80.
Community members can access the survey and learn more about the study at rtcwashoe.com/northeast-connector.
