RTC ACCESS
RTC ACCESS is the paratransit service that provides door-to-door, prescheduled transportation for people who meet the eligibility criteria of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). RTC ACCESS passengers have disabilities which prevent them from riding RTC RIDE independently some or all of the time.

Eligibility & Application
Residents
All applicants for RTC ACCESS eligibility must meet the federal requirements for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit eligibility. Eligible individuals must have one or more of the following:
- Disabilities which prevent them from independently getting to/from a bus stop or through major transfer points.
- Disabilities which prevent them from independently boarding, riding, and exiting a RTC RIDE bus.
- Disabilities which prevent them from independently recognizing the correct bus stops and key landmarks.
Reminder: After submitting your online RTC ACCESS application, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to complete the eligibility process. If you do not see the confirmation email, please check your spam folders. ADA Visitor Eligibility
Individuals visiting the Reno/Sparks area are eligible to use the RTC ACCESS ADA Paratransit service for up to 21 days in a rolling 365-day period by providing one of the following:
- Current ADA Paratransit proof of eligibility from the jurisdiction in which they reside
- Current ADA Paratransit ID Card
- Current ADA Paratransit Award Letter
If the visitor appears in person to request visitor status and their disability is apparent, ADA Paratransit visitor service will be granted upon request.

RTC ACCESS Service Area Map
Only trips that start and end within the RTC ACCESS ADA service area are eligible for RTC ACCESS services. Please use the map below to determine if a trip starts and ends within the RTC ACCESS ADA service area.
PLEASE NOTE: This tool is designed to assist in determining if the address is within the RTC ACCESS ADA service area, but some addresses may not be easily detected, particularly locations that are on the RTC ADA service area border. If you have questions or would like more information, please contact 1-800-326-6868 (TTY, VCO, HCO). For trips outside of this service area, please see other RTC Transit Services.
Reservations
Eligible riders can now book or cancel their trips using:
- RTC CONNECT App: Download it on your smartphone or tablet from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

- Phone: Call an RTC ACCESS Reservationist at (775) 348-5438 (Press 1) (available 1–3 days in advance, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Seven-Days a Week)
With the RTC CONNECT app or RTC Web Portal, you can:
✅ Schedule RTC ACCESS Paratransit and RTC FlexRIDE On-Demand rides
✅ Track your ride with real-time arrival updates
✅ View, modify, or cancel current and future trips
✅ Manage all your ride details in one place
Important: Cancelling RTC ACCESS Trips
- Cancel on the day of service at least one hour before your 20-minute ready window to avoid a late cancellation penalty.
- To cancel by phone, call the automated cancellation mailbox: 775-348-5438 (Press 3).
- Late cancellations are treated as no-shows. For more details, refer to the “No-shows and Late Cancellation Policy.”
