RTC Begins Construction on Vista Boulevard and Disc Drive Intersection Improvements
Reno, Nevada (August 14, 2025) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will begin construction on the Vista Boulevard and Disc Drive Intersection Improvements Project Monday, August 18. The project will enhance safety and efficiency at this intersection for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.
Key improvements include a dedicated right-turn lane from southbound Vista Boulevard to westbound Disc Drive, an extension of the left-turn lanes from eastbound Disc Drive to northbound Vista Boulevard, and a new dedicated left-turn lane from westbound Disc Drive to southbound Vista Boulevard.
During construction, the community should expect minor delays and detours on Disc Drive and Vista Boulevard, with intermittent lane closures.
“This project is a critical step in improving the flow of traffic and overall safety of this intersection,” RTC Project Manager Alex Wolfson said.
