PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Sparks Intelligent Corridors project will provide additional information to drivers in the Spanish Springs area regarding travel delays and recommended alternate routes. The project also proposes to automatically adjust traffic signal timings based on delays resulting from incidents or construction.

In addition, the project will install traffic signal fiber at the following locations:

• Baring Boulevard – Sparks Boulevard to Vista Boulevard
• Vista Boulevard – Baring Boulevard to Los Altos Parkway
• Los Altos Parkway – Sparks Boulevard to Ion Drive

LATEST NEWS
The RTC is testing out technology to disseminate connected vehicle data (travel time, delays, etc.) to motorists via smart phone app. This information can be travel times, road conditions, and incidents, and can also be used to adjust traffic signal operations in real-time. The RTC is hoping to gather public feedback on the kinds of services that are useful in order to inform operational decision making moving forward.
