RTC Launches the Biggest Little Bike Network
RTC is Inviting the Public to Learn More About Upcoming Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements

Reno, Nevada (September 18, 2024) – The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County and the City of Reno are launching the Biggest Little Bike Network, a collaboration of improvements to infrastructure in Downtown Reno that will improve safety and access for cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers.

“Protected bike lanes, intersections and floating bus stops will make it significantly safer and easier for people of all ages to visit downtown,” RTC Project Manager Sara Going said. “We are looking forward to sharing some of the early designs with the public at our pop-up events this week.”

RTC is inviting the community to learn more about the project with three pop-up informational events:

  • Thursday, September 19 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Off The Rails Concert located at Locomotion Plaza.
  • Friday, September 20 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Reno Aces Ballpark.
  • Sunday, September 29 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Riverside Farmers Market located at Idlewild Park.

“We are at the 30 percent design phase, so it’s a perfect opportunity to get input from the community,” RTC Public Information Officer Josh MacEachern said.
