  • SNC will continue to be in Phase 3-manhole raising, and sign installation.
  • Stripping activities will continue.
  • Localized traffic controls will be in place.


ODDIE/WELLS PROJECT – PYRAMID WAY (SPARKS) TO I-80 WESTBOUND RAMPS (RENO)

  • Project is substantially completed.
  • Intermittent lane shifts for punch item list work and landscape work.


SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET SAFETY & CAPACITY PROJECT – I-580 EXIT 29 TO LONGLEY LANE (RENO)

  • Two lanes on each direction will remain open along South Virginia Street between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (day work).
  • At least one lane will be open on South Virginia Street starting at 6:00 p.m. everyday until 7:00 a.m. the next day (night work).
  • Week of October 28:
    • Crews are expected to perform landscape work during the day.
    • Miscellaneous asphalt and sidewalk concrete work during nighttime.


STEAMBOAT PARKWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – DAMONTE RANCH PARKWAY TO VETERANS PARKWAY

Construction is underway and will continue through Fall 2024. This week crews will be performing concrete work, storm drain installation, and landscaping. Crews will begin full depth reconstruction of southbound Veterans Parkway between RC Willey and the intersection of Steamboat Parkway/Veterans Parkway. Through traffic is advised to use an alternate route, if possible.

October 28 – November 1

  • Two travel lanes in each direction will be maintained on Steamboat Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures for westbound and eastbound Steamboat Parkway between Marketplace Drive and Veterans Parkway.
  • Shoulder closures/lane reductions at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway.
  • Southbound Veterans Parkway will be reduced to a continuous single lane closure between Carat Avenue and the intersection of Steamboat Parkway/Veterans Parkway for the next few weeks.


KIETZKE INTELLIGENT TRAFFIC SYSTEMS (ITS) PROJECT

Construction is substantially complete. Crews will be performing miscellaneous work this week. Traffic control impacts will be minimal.

  • Limited on-street parking.

  • Crews will be performing major milling and paving operations at the intersection of El Rancho Drive & G Street.
  • G Street to the west of the intersection will be CLOSED to all traffic within 300 feet of the intersection from 7:00 a.m. Monday, October 28 through 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 1.
  • Through two-way traffic will be maintained on El Rancho Drive, lanes will be reduced, and drivers may want to use alternate routes.
  • All business and residential access will remain open.
  • Detour signs will be in place to direct travelers around closure.
