SOUTH VIRGINIA STREET SAFETY & CAPACITY PROJECT – I-580 EXIT 29 TO LONGLEY LANE (RENO)

  • Two lanes on each direction will remain open along South Virginia Street between 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Construction during the day. Concrete work (sidewalk, curb, and gutter, driveways, etc.) along the northbound side of South Virginia.
  • Night work is anticipated in August, with closures and detours. At least one lane will be open on South Virginia Street starting at 6:00 p.m. everyday until 7:00 a.m. the next day.

  • Shoulder closures/lane reduction at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Steamboat Parkway.

El Rancho Drive and G Street

  • Motorists should anticipate daytime shoulder and intermittent lane closures near the signalized intersection.
  • At least one lane for each travel direction will remain open throughout this phase of work.

Intermittent lane and shoulder closures will occur at the following intersections between the hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm as crews complete work on traffic signal systems:

McCarran & Mayberry, Sutro & Wedekind, Golden Valley & North Hills, Arrowcreek & Wedge, Mount Rose Highway & Wedge, Sun Valley Boulevard & 5th, and Los Altos & Galleria
