About the Metropolitan Planning Organization

The RTC is Northern Nevada’s hub for transportation planning, ensuring our region is connected, accessible, and prepared for the future. Designated by the state legislature as the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), RTC plays a key role in securing federal transportation funding and shaping the Truckee Meadows’ transportation network.

Regional Planning & Coordination

As the MPO, RTC collaborates with local cities and regional agencies to:
