RTC invites public to Keystone Avenue Bridge replacement meeting Thursday

RTC LogoFor 60 years, the Keystone Avenue Bridge has carried drivers over the Truckee River, connecting west Reno neighborhoods with downtown and Interstate 80. The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC) plans to replace the aging bridge and invites the public to review the project’s progress and share input at a public meeting this Thursday, Oct. 22.

RTC will host a public meeting Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at McKinley Arts & Culture Center, 925 Riverside Drive, to share updates on the Keystone Avenue Bridge Replacement Project. The open house will run throughout the event, and RTC will give a project presentation at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees can review project updates, talk with the project team and learn more about the progress of the proposed bridge replacement.

“This bridge has served Reno for generations, and we want to make sure it serves future generations just as well,” said Sara Going, RTC project manager. “We’re excited to share our design progress, including how we’ve incorporated feedback from the first two public meetings, and hear more from the community this project serves.”

If you are unable to attend in person, you can find project information at KeystoneBridgeProject.com. Information in Spanish is available at KeystoneBridgeProject.com/es.
