Project Description
This project will construct a new traffic signal on Sparks Boulevard at the Ion Drive / Sawgrass Lane intersection in order to improve safety and traffic operations.
Latest News
The project has been awarded to Sierra Nevada Construction, Inc. Construction will begin on July 13, 2026. Working hours have changed, and will be from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Crews will begin with median work on Sparks Boulevard. This will require a 24/7 lane closure of the inside travel lane on Sparks Boulevard in both directions. The lane closures will be from Village Meadows Drive/Village Knoll Drive to Cathedral Peak Drive/Oak Hill Drive. This will be in place until early August 2026, at which point we will transition to improvements on Ion Drive/Sawgrass Lane.
