Project Description
This project will identify and implement improvements to the signalized intersection at Sierra Street / 9th Street and Sierra Street and Maple Street. The goal of the improvements is to improve both the traffic operations and safety at the intersections through geometric, striping, and signal phasing changes. The project will also install overhead Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) systems and other crossing improvements at the following locations:
- Flint Street / Liberty Street
- Wedge Parkway / UNR Redfield Campus
- Mayberry Drive / Ferris Drive
Latest News
The project has reached ninety percent design. RTC will begin right-of-way acquisition and presentation of final design plans. The project is anticipated to advertise and begin construction by Spring 2027.
