BUCK DRIVE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Work Description
This project will be completed in multiple phases. The next phase will implement final striping. The new signal at North Hills Boulevard and Buck Drive will be installed later this fall.
Traffic Impacts
- Traffic control will be in place with modified travel patterns.
- Utilize U-turns for business access.
EAGLE CANYON SAFETY AND OPERATIONS PROJECT

Work Description
Concrete work at Richard Springs Boulevard and at the Eagle Canyon Park entrance is underway. Site preparation and grading are also underway for construction of the shared-use path from Calle De La Plata to Alena Way.
Traffic Impacts
Working hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- On Eagle Canyon Drive expect shoulder closures and/or lane shifts in both directions from Eagle Canyon Park to Calle De La Plata. This closure includes the bicycle lane, so please remember to use caution and share the road with bicycles.
- Travel lanes on Eagle Canyon Drive will be reduced to a single lane in each direction at Richard Springs Boulevard.
- Truckee Meadows Water Authority has a concurrent project on Goldeneye Parkway that may cause additional impacts. This may include lane shifts or flagger control on Eagle Canyon Drive. Access to Goldeneye Parkway may be closed from Eagle Canyon Drive. Please use caution in the area.
MILITARY ROAD CAPACITY AND SAFETY PROJECT

Lane Closures
Construction is substantially complete, but single lane closures may occur on Mill Street from Yori Way to Terminal Way with left turn lanes at all signalized intersections. Closures on Kietzke Lane in the vicinity may also take place.

PYRAMID HIGHWAY OPERATIONS IMPROVEMENTS

Work during the week of 07/27 will generally include: Electrical and ITS underground work starting at the south end of the project near the Egyptian Drive and Pyramid Highway intersection.
- Traffic control impacts will include intermittent shoulder closures starting at the south end of the project and moving north (Egyptian Drive to Ingenuity Avenue)
- A minimum of one paved travel lane will be open in each direction
- Left turn lanes at all signalized intersections will be open
- Short traffic delays may occur durring this phase of construction
- Access will be maintained to adjacent properties
- Temporary driveway closures may occur during certain construction activities; and if so, Q & D Construction will provide notice to impacted properties 18-24 hours prior to start of work
- Normal working hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
- Vehicles and pedestrians should follow posted detours and proceed with caution throughout the work zone.
SPARKS BOULEVARD CAPACITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – NORTH PHASE

Construction will continue through June 2027. Project limits are from the intersection of Sparks Boulevard/I-80 westbound ramps to the intersection of Sparks Boulevard/Shadow Lane.

Construction operations will mostly take place from 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the northbound direction and 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the southbound direction, Monday through Friday. Nighttime work and marathon weekend work are anticipated, with traffic control updates communicated in advance of this work.

The community can expect the following traffic control:
Northbound and Southbound Long-Term Closure (24/7 thru June 2026)
24/7 single lane closure Sparks Boulevard between Prater Way and the Baring Boulevard intersection in the northbound direction. Closure in effect through July 2026.
24/7 single lane closure Sparks Boulevard between Shadow Lane and Prater Way intersections in the southbound direction. Closure in effect through July 2026.
Southbound (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday – Friday)
Single lane closure on Sparks Boulevard from Prater Way to I-80.
Northbound (5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday – Friday)
Single lane closure on Sparks Boulevard from Lincoln Way to Prater Way.
Howard Drive Detour:
Howard Drive closed at Sparks Boulevard. A detour is available via Fargo Way to O’Callaghan Drive.
SPARKS BOULEVARD/ION DRIVE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT

Work Description
Construction will continue through September 2026. Crews are completing the reconfiguration of the center median on Sparks Boulevard and will begin concrete improvements and signal infrastrucure on the Ion Drive approach. There are currently lane restrictions and detours in place so please plean accordingly and use caution in the area.
Traffic Impacts
Working hours for the prject are 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Beginning Monday, July 27 the traffic control configuration on Sparks Boullarvard will change. There will be a 24/7 closure of the outside travel lane in the southbound direction. This configuration will be in place until approximately August 7. Please remember to share the road with bicyclists as the bike lane will be impacted in both directions.
- Ion Dirve is closed in both directions at the Sparks Boulevard intersection. Access to Ion Dirve will be provided via Los Altos Parkway and a signed detour will be in place. This closure will be in place 24/7 until approximately August 7.

Lane Closures
Construction has begun from Sunday nights to Friday mornings from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Lanes on S. Virginia Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Moana Lane to Hubbard Way.
Gentry Way Intersection
Through traffic on Gentry Way at Virginia Street may be detoured from 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
BRT Stations
Daytime work at the northbound and southbound Bus Rapid Transit stations at McCarran Boulevard and the southbound station at Orchard Plaza will occur. Two lanes in each direction will remain open on Virginia Street, but lanes may be shifted. Please use caution.
Gentry Way Intersection
Through traffic on Gentry Way at Virginia Street may be detoured from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
WEST FOURTH STREET DOWNTOWN (WEST STREET TO VINE STREET) PROJECT

WEST FOURTH STREET SAFTEY (VINE STREET TO MCCARRAN BOULEVARD) PROJECT

Traffic has been shifted to the southside of Fourth Street, with two–way traffic in one lane each direction in the four lane areas. The north side of the roadway will be a work zone throughout the corridor. In the two-lane area west of Summit Ridge Drive, traffic will be one way only eastbound. Both Summit Ridge Drive and Stoker Avenue will be restricted to northbound traffic only. No right turns will be allowed on Fourth Street. Traffic will follow detours to Ralston and back to Fourth Street. Work is progressing throughout the corridor. Please slow down so everyone goes home safe!
